Welcome!

Hi there!

I’m Miriam Lowe, a 21-year-old broadcast journalism student at the University of Arkansas. I’m a news junkie, pageant girl, theatre kid, social media maven, and a born and raised Oklahoman.

I’ve always believed that every person has a story worth telling. The world becomes a little more interesting—and a lot more connected—when we slow down long enough to listen.

Whether I’m reporting from the newsroom, interviewing someone about an issue close to their heart, or chasing a story that needs to be told, I’m drawn to the human side of journalism.

My goal is simple: to tell stories that inform, connect, and help people see the world with a little more clarity and compassion.

I’m currently gaining hands-on experience reporting for UATV’s evening news, where I’ve learned that great journalism starts with preparation, thoughtful questions, and genuine curiosity. Each story I cover reminds me why I fell in love with reporting in the first place—the privilege of stepping into someone else’s world and sharing it with others.

When I’m not reporting, you’ll probably find me listening to a crime podcast, with a cup of coffee, and a hundred questions about the world around me.

Because the best stories are the ones still waiting to be discovered.
